Over the years I would see an occasional patient with psoriasis in my family practice. Many of them were using one or more of the current accepted medical therapies. Many had tried all of them and generally without any lasting success.

Their plaques were a nightmare. Besides looking like something contagious you could easily pass on, they were either sore, itching, draining, or scaling and made my patients’ lives miserable.

Afterwards you go home and wait for the cold to do it’s work. Most patients get some minor redness, and blisters will appear at the site of treatment. We advise when this happens just to put a sterile bandage over them to keep them clean and protect them.

Pain is mild and generally is gone after an hour or two. Tylenol or aspirin usually works fine.

If for some reason a patch doesn’t respond to the treatment, we repeat the process after 30 days, and almost always this sends the offending patch into remission forever.
